June 5-7 2017 | Saskatoon, SK
On behalf of the local organizing committee, we invite you to join us for the Canadian Radiation Protection Association‘s 2017 Conference in the land of living skies, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The theme of this year’s conference is “Reflecting on the Future”. This year we will take time to consider and reflect on our past, in order to plan for our future.
The Conference will include invited guest presentations on both ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, contributed papers spanning the full range of health physics and radiation protection, professional development courses and exhibitor’s displays.
In Saskatoon, you will visit Saskatchewan’s uranium mines and mills, explore Canada’s national synchrotron facility, and discover the legacy of the first cancer treatment with Co-60. You will discover ways to improve your practice and will be able to network with colleagues to find solutions to common problems. You will also experience exciting and unique local hospitality to make your conference a wonderful all-around event.
The venue for our conference is the Radisson Hotel, beautifully located along the riverbanks of the South Saskatchewan river. With a location central to downtown Saskatoon, you can discover the nearby business district, restaurants, museums and shops on foot. The hotel is also just steps away from the riverfront Meewasin Trail, popular with local joggers and strollers.
We invite you to join us on Sunday June 4th for a once in a lifetime trip to Saskatchewan’s uranium mines and mills. Be sure to register early, as seating is limited!
We look forward to showing you what we have in store. See you in Saskatoon!
